Okay, I admit, I was skeptical. It just sounded too good to be true, and figured it would be yet another disappointment in a long string of disappointments that would wind up in the proverbial graveyard of uneaten cat food. But we felt it was worth a try. So we made a special trip to a pet supply store that's a bit out of the way for us, and bought a can of Weruva Truluxe Peking Ducken.Weruva Truluxe Kawa Booty Cat Food Guaranteed Analysis:
Fiber: 0.040%Weruva Truluxe Kawa Booty Cat Food, AKA Mediterranean Harvest without the veggies! Made with dolphin safe, wild caught kawakawa tuna. Kawakawa tuna is a small breed, wild caught and sustainable. The finickiest of cats will jump on in! “Kawa Bunga!!!” This formula is Grain Free! But before reading your review on the TRULUXE foods, I bought a can of Peking Ducken a few weeks ago. The cats liked it, but I noticed that there were ingredients in this line of food that are NOT meat. Since our kitties are obligate carnivores, what are your thoughts about pumpkin, sweet potato, carrot, potato starch, potatoes, peas, and chunks of corn in the TRULUXE line of foods? I thought I was buying a meat only product. Not so. It seems like ALL of the cat food companies (even the good ones like Weruva) are using ingredients that our cats don’t really need. And looking at the Weruva website description of the various TRULUE ingredients, it looks like the only ones WITHOUT these veggies are their fish flavors, which we are trying to avoid. The Weruva brand of cat food specializes in wet foods rather than dry foods, though they do have a limited offering of dry foods for dogs. Weruva’s wet food products can be divided into five different product lines. The Weruva Truluxe line of products is their newest offering, made up of five of the brand’s classic recipes with the addition of five new recipes – they all feature premium proteins like grass-fed Australian beef and wild salmon. The original line of Weruva recipes features boneless breast meat chicken and fish loins as the primary proteins and all of these recipes are meat-rich and low in fat. These two product lines are a little bit more expensive than Weruva’s other offerings.
