Raphael Catfish (Platydoras armatulus) were all over the place in Peru. This makes sense, as they are super hard (they almost seem like they have shell) and look like durable fish. I thought that bringing some home would be sweet until they instantly dug up the gravel/dirt mix I had rolling in the lower 75 gallon tank (welcome wild caught digging catfish!). I'd love to hear what you know about Raphael Catfish. You CAN KEEP THEM WITH CICHLIDS (I misspoke).
