Clumping Cat Litter from Tidy Cats® Scoop | Tidy Cats®
Another benefit of being a larger company that primarily deals in clay is that it allows you to price many of your products very competitively. Clay is oftentimes one of the most affordable litter materials available, and being a large company, they likely are able to purchase their materials in bulk, which decreases their overhead. These cost-saving techniques are then directed back towards the customer. The result is that a lot of Tidy Cats products can fall into the budget tier. This is a welcome surprise as many companies with a reputation and established name like Tidy Cats would charge a significant premium on their products.
Tidy Cats works hard to bring you low-dust litters. Their litters have an anti-dust coating that forms a microscopic web-like structure that helps prevent tiny dust particles from escaping.
Meet Tidy Cats Direct™: the only disposable, deliverable litter box that comes pre-filled with 30 days* of Tidy’s LightWeight 24/7 Performance litter. So, you get premium odor control, your cat gets a box, and no one has to leave the house. Even Tidy’s going to have a hard time topping this one.I have four indoor cats and three cat litter boxes throughout the house. The cats bathrooms are cleaned twice a day so when you walk into my home you would never know I have that many cats. Tidy Cats is the only cat litter I ever use, to me it's the best! I had never tried the light weight because it's way to expensive for me (I lost my job) so affording my little family is becoming a challenge for me to say the least. The other day a friend of mine gave me a Publix gift card and to my surprise the Tidy Cats light weight was on sale "bogo" so I went crazy and purchased 6 and got 6 free!!!!! WOW!!!!!! The smell is AMAZING - the clumping is AMAZING, everything about it is AMAZING!!!Thank you Tidy Cats - you hit the ball out of the park with this one! I LOVE IT!!!! and so does my four legged family. For several years I tried all the latest and greatest new fangled litters until one day I tried what I thought was old fashioned - Tidy Cats. I've never looked back. Tidy Cats lasts longer than ANY litter by far, keeps odors at bay, clumps instantly, makes box cleaning a breeze and costs less than other litters for the quality received. We have used Tidy Cats Instant Action for many years and it was a great product. Simply put, the new version sucks and definitely no longer works as well. It smells nice at first when you put it in the litter box, but doesn't fight odor as well. In addition, I think the nice-smelling stuff in the new formula is irritating to our cats' skin. Sad to say, we will not be buying this any longer. It's time to find another brand. :(We recently adopted a cat after not having one for a few years. I went down to Family Dollar and this was the only thing available. Not my usual brand, but Tidy Cats is a good name so I bought it. I prepared the litter box for my cat's arrival and immediately the smell of this litter made me gag. It has a sickening sweet smell. I knew my cat might not like this as cat's have very sensitive sense of smell. When I brought him home, I put him in the litter several times to get him used to the location of the box. Each time he IMMEDIATELY ran out. The smell alone kept making me gag so I went to another store and bought some Arm & Hammer fragrance free litter. I changed the litter and put the kitten back in, and he actually stayed for a minute and scratched around. A much better reaction than with the other litter. I would rather smell cat urine and feces than smell this litter for one more minute. Gag!I have 4 cats and been using this product for about 4 months or so. I second some of another customer's comments about this product. "Yes yes. This stuff is light. But if you actually want a litter that clumps and decreases odor and mess.....run from this lightweight stuff. When you scoop, the clumps (half the time) crumble apart, basically negating scooping to decrease odor. It seems as though it DOES want to clump on my cats feet, and between his toes." I too believe it's driving them crazy, and is probably why a couple of them have been digging in my plant's pot of dirt - they're trying to help remove the litter that's stuck to their paws and in between their toes. And one of them every now and then "has taken up relieving themselves in front of the litter box" as opposed to going inside to take care of their business. I thought my dog (a Toy Poodle) was doing it on their litter tracker outside of the cat litter boxes, but it was actually the cats. "Let's not talk about how much this stuff is tracking through my house because it wants to travel on my cats feet instead of just doing what it's supposed to. Ugh." (double UGH!) Now, I have to sweep my floors every other day and spot clean areas throughout the house (every other day too) that have dried cat litter on it that came off their paws. Everywhere. And also, the product advertises that it's also like the other products in the brand, "99% Dust Free". This is not true at all. This has never happened to me before using Tidy Cats products. Every time I clean the litter box and go to wash my hands after, I see dust on my nose hair when I look up in the bathroom mirror. Eeeww. I'm brown skin, so easier to see right away. Thank God though for nose hair. How much further would this dust go into my body without it. I have been using the "Purina Tidy Cats" brand of cat litter for over 10 years, the " Immediate Odor Control, 24/7 Performance, Instant Action, Dual Power, Glade Tough Odor Solutions, 4-In-1 Solutions, and finally the Lightweight glade formula." I've used all of the products 1 product at a time, for more than 4 months or so before trying a different version. Only mixing when transitioning to another product of Tidy Cats. Some a little longer until I saw a new version from the brand. The "Instant Action" formula has been the best product from the Tidy brand out of all the scoopables. Again, the "Lightweight with glade" product is nice and light, but it is not good overall. Thank you.
