My older cat had been diagnosed with kidney/renal failure about 10 mos. ago and our vet put him on the prescription K/D Science Diet. We tried the canned version of K/D as well as all the other Rx canned food for his condition, but he would NOT eat it.

We kept him on the dry K/D providing a bowl of moistened dry K/D as well. His weight loss continued to the point where he was just skin and bones :( Although his blood tests showed a marked improvement after six mos. on the new K/D diet.

However, he vomited frequently, was terribly constipated, and continued to drink and urinate excessively. I finally found Halo's Spots Stew whose protein percent was within the acceptable range--his condition requires a low protein, low phosphorous diet.

Anyhow, he LOVES the food, his appetite has returned and he's gained back some weight, his urine production has gone back to normal--3 times a day and he's active and frisky and seems so much better. Couldn't be happier!
