Interestingly, while the cats of Kyatto Ninden Teyandee are ninjas, the decision was made to turn them into samurai for the American show – likely an attempt to make the similarities between the Pizza Cats and the Ninja Turtles a little less obvious.

Autumn is about 10 weeks old in this video. I have heard that parents entertain their kids with TV when they are driving them crazy. That gave me the idea to see if the teenage mutant ninja turtle video game may stop her from jumping up on my chair, running up my back, sitting on my shoulder and sometimes swiping my face. Turns out it works like a charm.

One of the hat cats, Yoshi Kogo's "Samurai Cat," could just as easily be included in the other exhibit in Springfield. "Turtle Power" is based around the collection of Elias Derby of Massachusetts. Derby is an avid fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the comic-book powerhouse created by Northampton-based Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The museum has paired pieces of Derby's memorabilia with ancient Japanese woodblock prints depicting samurai, alongside pieces of samurai armor and armaments. The artifacts are culled from the collection of the museum's founder, George Walter Vincent Smith, who got caught up in the craze for Japanese art after that country was opened to trade with the west in 1853.Get tickets & showtimes:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Samurai Heroes" will be in George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum until May 14. .While Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo and Leonardo have continued to be household names in the years since their introduction, plenty of similar cartoons haven’t fared as well. While not quite the , here are 13 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Copycats That Time Forgot. While the heroes in a half shell might have been the most popular combination of ’90s slacker ideology, they weren’t the only cartoon characters to embrace these ideas. With popularity comes imitation, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had more than its fair share of knock-offs and copycats.Publishers have done their “best” to copy every aspect of the Turtles: from the martial arts aspect, to human/animal hybrids, even using multiple words in the title – no detail was ignored. While dozens of cartoons took their influence from TMNT (Street Sharks, Samurai Pizza Cats, Battletoads, etc…), the ones we’re primarily focusing on here are the comic titles that didn’t just try to copy the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they tried to BE them.
