I cut 2 boards out, so they are 11.5" X 22". Since my cat is old and fat, I figured I should make the perch with a lower level to help make it easier to get to the upper level that is at the window.This Window Cat Perch or Cat Window Bed project was cheap, fun, and easy to make. It is a rugged plastic coated nylon mesh. It's the fabric or material you see commonly in outdoor furniture.Cut a piece of wood to the length of the perch. You may want it to run the entire length of the window if you have more than one cat, or you can make it smaller. Be sure to use wood that is at least 2 feet wide so the cat can sit comfortably on the perch. Plywood, particle board or solid stock all make good chouces.
