Low dust cat litter? - DC Urban Moms and Dads
The basic reality is that this low dust cat litter is very good. You do not need to overthink when it comes to getting this item just because of the good selling price. When it comes to effectiveness, this cat litter is extremely outstanding. A great item that can keep your house clean. This product works very well. This is very simple to use and the guidelines are incredibly user-friendly. When I bought it, it came to my house pretty quickly. This absolutely works well. My pet likes it. There are quite a few times when a complex item becomes worthless to the individual who purchased it.
Walnut shell cat litter may be a great alternative to clumping clay litter. It offers the convenience and efficacy of a clay litter with the peace of mind of a plant-based, natural litter. Though the verdict is still out on the effect of walnut shell dust on cats with breathing issues, if your cat has severe breathing problems, you may want to make sure the walnut shell litter brand you select is low or no-dust.
We purchased some some cat litter (two 50 lb bags) due to the fact it was advertised (and recommended by a friend) as low tracking and extremely low dust. It's a brand from the local pet store. At any rate it's horrible. It tracks all over the place, and has so much dust it's affecting our cat's eyes. Pour some in the box and a few minutes later you see dust settling all over the area.Assuming you haven't opened both bags, take one back to the store and tell them you want actual low dust cat litter. There are some non-clay cat litters out there that have big pellets of pressed paper or something. I haven't tried them because the regular stuff doesn't bother me, but I'm sure the people in the store would know.Assuming you haven't opened both bags, take one back to the store and tell them you want actual low dust cat litter. We got "Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra Clumping Cat Litter" as Roger has suggested. WOW! The difference between this and the old supposed "no dust" litter is nothing short of amazing. We'd used up all their old stuff, so today was our first day with the new. It's awesome! Now I built a tiny mini-ramp for the cats to make it so they won't trakc as much, but it's not working. I thought they were tracking lots of stuff out because they had to jump out, but they're still bring lots out.10. Dust-free litter: Litter dust may be a major factor is triggering feline asthma. For those cats suffering from this, it is essential that this be minimized. Every time they stir up the litter, some of that dust can reach their lungs. Unfortunately, a completely dust-free litter does not exist but some come very close. Nature's Miracle litter appears to be the best litter on the market. In my experience, it has the lowest levels of dust for commercial cat litters. When you dump a fresh bag in the box, it is nice not to have that huge cloud of dust that takes 15 minutes to settle down. Made from ground corn cobs, it also does an outstanding job of masking odor and clumps very nicely. Other good choices are Arm & Hammer Naturals, Blue Buffalo, World's Best Cat Litter, Tidy Cat Pure Nature and Swheat Scoops. A major environmental downside to traditional clumping litters is the use of clay, in particular sodium bentonite, which is predominantly collected by strip-mining, which degrades land and waterways.Very easily available in the UK, I use an own-brand product available from 'Tescos' called 'Low Dust Lightweight Catlitter'. There are other brands that make suitable bonsai soil (see the updates at the foot of the page) but this is the only one I have direct experience of and can therefore personally recommend.
I use this product for my all of my bonsai, with cuttings and air layers and even newly collected yamadori (collected trees) all to good effect.
