Feline Pine cat litter has been around since the early 90s but have decided to keep their offering small, with their two products simply being “clumping” and “non-clumping”. What makes them unique is that the litter is made of all-natural pine. Pine is a unique material in that it has embedded clumping and odor control tendencies will being refreshing in smell and also being more environmentally friendly. The results of using pine might be perfect for some and for others it might be missing some key attributes so we encourage that people give one of their two products a go and see if the align with what you and your cat(s) need.
I got 3 of the Feline Pine Litter Boxes… allhough they are smaller, lucky for me they fit perfectly inside my old ones.. so I have a box in a box, and so the original lids still fit…The cats don’t notice any difference, and I am also ‘giddy’ at the time this saves me, and the litter it will save by not having to throw out good litter with bad. Thanks for reviewing this box Kate! I am a pellet fan, and a Feline Pine Litter box fan…. PS .. I actually use Blue pellets because I prefer the walnut smell to the pine, the boxes work fine for that brand as well.
Feline Pine Non-Clumping Cat Litter is made from 100% Pine. Sawdust byproduct from lumber mills is collected and compressed into tiny pellets. These pellets act like tiny sponges that absorb urine and break apart into sawdust. Scoop the solid waste daily, and gently shake the box so the good pellets float to the top and the sawdust drops to the bottom. Leave the sawdust in the box as it will still work to absorb moisture and odor. When the box is about 90% sawdust it is time to dispose of it and start with new litter. Phase 3: Make it official!
