Compared to some budget cat foods, the list of ingredients is appealing: real animal protein, no byproducts or preservatives, and tolerable amounts of carbohydrates such as brewers rice and oat bran. Chicken broth is noted as the first ingredient, followed by animal and/or fish protein; the guaranteed analysis puts moisture at a maximum 78 percent, crude protein at a minimum 9 percent, crude fat at a minimum 5 percent, and crude fiber at a maximum 1 percent.
I feed Hill's Science Diet Indoor cat and have had no issues. My kitten also ate this brand kitten food. Love it! I am a very loyal Science Diet fan. I have researched pet nutrition and feel that Hill's is a good, reliable company that cares about pets and provides a product that you can really trust.

If you don't believe me, read the rest of the reviews! I've had issues with Hill's Science Diet Cat food in the past. I had another cat that I adored die from diabetes and he was fed Science Diet. I thought at the time that it was just something that happened. 12 years later I'm here again but with 3 cats. They eat it and either throw it up and don't seem to not be able to get enough. My cats are fed at certain times and get wet food as well. This is worse than the cheap cat food. I've switched to a better brand that hopefully can reverse what Hill's Cat Food has done to them. This is poison. Please spend more or even get cheap brands. Your pet will pay dearly if you don't. Poison. Complete poison. I'm so mad I can't see straight. Orijen, which comes in dry formulas that can be served wet or dry, includes a variety of protein choices for cats kittens. It has a 75 percent protein content to a 25 percent fruit and vegetable content. In terms of high quality proteins, we are talking about things like real eggs, free range antibiotic free chicken and fresh wild caught fish. It is also grain free. Customers say that their pickiest of cats love this brand; the only negative comments are about the higher price of it as compared to some other cat foods. Clearly, the higher quality ingredients require the higher price tag. Orijen does not make a canned diet for cats. (See reviews and buy .) isn't organic, but the company uses only high-grade meats, poultry and fish, with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. It's a bit less expensive than the cat foods listed above, but its safety record isn't quite as sterling. However, after being caught up in the 2007 pet food recalls, Natural Balance instituted a well-regarded in-house safety testing program that samples each lot of food for nine different contaminants (E. coli, salmonella and more) before releasing it to stores. Although no Natural Balance varieties tested positive, it was also among the many cat food brands caught up in a 2012 recall over salmonella contamination at a Diamond Pet Food plant where some of the food is made.
