Why do Purina Tidy Cats Scoop consumers try new brands?
I've used alot of the Tidy Cat litters and they continue to be my favorite, but this one doesn't clump my cats pee as well as some of the others.
My cat pees in the same spot in her litter box every single time. It's always in the same corner which is the hardest place to clean and scoop out. This litter does not clump it at all, in fact it's like the litter actually turns into...pee sand if you will. It might be because my cat pees in the same darn spot everytime, but I still wish I could get more clumping action from this litter.
Ease of Cleaning
As long as my cat poops and doesn't continue peeing in the same spot, it's pretty easy to clean. It scoops really easily.
I think the odor control is great considering I usually wait a few days in between cleanings. If you needed to skip a day or two you wouldn't have any odor issues.
Ease of Use
It's really easy to use and it smells great. I really wish it were more lightweight, even though they have the lightweight version.
Even though bowel habits may vary slightly, a healthy cat will generally defecate once a day. Normal stool will be well formed and easy to scoop. The size will depend on the cat’s diet. Cats who eat a grain-free diet will have a lower volume of stools and stools will generally be less smelly than cats who are fed a diet with lots of fillers. The reason for this difference is that nutrients in better quality diets are better absorbed by the body. Healthy stools are usually dark brown in color, although there will also be some variation depending on the type of diet fed.

I realize that sounds like a stupid question, but I’m often shocked how people are erroneously “scooping.” Some clients tell me they dump out the whole litter box (and all that clumping litter) every week. Yikes – no need folks! You and your cat’s carbon footprints are contributing to the overfilled landfills and making Al Gore very angry. Not only is this expensive, but it’s really wasteful. If you really want to know, I only completely empty and bleach out the litter box a few times year or so.
