We are currently living overseas where there are a lot of homeless feral cats. We got a rescue cat when he was only 3 weeks old, he was sick when we got him but with a vet visit got him better. We have been blending dry kitten food with water to feed him which is what the vet recommended. We started with eukanuba kitten food and it seemed okay, he was normal would get kind of sleepy after eating and was generally pretty tame, would play for about 20 or 30 minutes then sleep for a couple hours. We switched to Blue Wilderness since it had great reviews many places and was all natural. He loved it from the first time. We have noticed some changes in his behavior though. Since starting him on it he has a ton more energy, he will run wild sometimes for a couple hours at a time, and I mean wild, sprinting all over the place. Even playing with him constantly for 30 minutes at a time barely phases him. He has also become kind of hyper aggressive and skittish. He tries to bite and scratch more when trying to play with him or pet him. He is much more stand offish and skittish when we go near him also. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I don’t mind that he has a lot of energy but the aggresiveness and skittishness is a little disconcerting considering that before he was very warm and would come lay on one of us to go to sleep. My cats love the Blue Buffalo Wilderness Grain Free Salmon Recipe canned cat food. Two days out of the week I feed my cats this particular product. Both my cats love this canned salmon and gobble it up. I like that this particular brand of cat food does not contain grains and is free of fillers. The salmon canned cat food is high in protein and low in carbohydrates.

Like the dry cat foods made by this brand, it has improved my cats fur coats and has given them a major boost or energy. This canned cat food does not upset my cats stomach and they are at a healthy stable weight.

Previously to purchasing this canned cat food, my cats didn't really care much for other canned cat foods. This brand of cat foods is their all time favorite. I now only purchase this brand for the dietary needs. Yes this brand of cat food is a bit more pricey than others but well worth the price. My cats have never looked or felt better. I highly recommend this product. We are currently living overseas where there are a lot of homeless feral cats. She was spayed when she was 5 months old and she was still fed the Kitten food for cognitive development (it contains DHA?)
However, since her operation, she gained lots of weight so that her stomach visibly sags and she is visibly bigger and rounder. She is a Siamese-mix and her mom (who is a domestic cat) is about her size, but leaner (she is about 2 years old). She should have stopped physical growth by now, and I was recommended to switch food to prevent high caloric intake.
I’m trying to decide between Blue Wilderness Weight Management (for as long as a medium sized bag will last me) then switching to the new Blue Wilderness Indoor Cat OR to go with the Blue Longevity Adult.
Perhaps the Longevity would be a better option for her health, but my concern is that Blue Longevity is only made with fish. My cat has had canned fish (salmon and tuna) and enjoys eating it, but she has only had chicken dry food. And I have read reviews that fish diet makes the poop smell really bad.
Please help!
