Dogs For Adoption at AuCaDo Australian Cattle Dog Rescue MI
We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

We are a privately run rescue group dedicated to saving Australian Cattle Dogs and mixes of Australian Cattle Dogs from euthanasia in animal control facilities in Indiana and bordering states. Also in certain instances we will take owner surrenders. Once in our care, we fully vet and temperament test all animals before adopting them out. Once they are ready to be adopted, we look for forever homes for our beautiful ACDs, trying our best to match individual adopters with the right ACD for them. That's where Know The Truth And Be Heeler'd Australian Cattle Dog Rescue comes in. We provide another alternative when you must give your heeler away. We are able to work with the dogs in our rescue, training them, reassuring them, and letting them bloom into the wonderful animals that they are, so that they will have a greater chance at finding their forever home. Owners, we can also work with you and help you through training and behavior problems, so that you can keep your most loyal friend in your home. All dogs leaving the rescue MUST be vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before they can go to their new homes. Please email us for a list of adoption prices. All potential adoptive families must fill out an adoption application and a home check and reference check must be completed before any adoption can be finalized. We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit, rescue organization, based in Georgetown, Tennessee. Contributions are tax deductible. We focus on rescuing stray, abandoned, and unwanted Australian Cattle Dogs. We primarily rescue from municipal and county shelters in Tennessee, and bordering states. Most of these dogs were picked up as strays; some were surrendered to shelters by their former owners; all were at risk of being euthanized before coming to us. We do not operate a shelter. The dogs in our rescue are in foster homes where they interact with humans and other dogs. By using a foster home environment we are able to evaluate these dogs for temperament, and provide basic obedience and crate training. The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
