The Atlanta Humane Society has dozens of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens available for adoption.
We are also located inside the Castlegate PetSmart in the 24/7 adoption center located at 1801 Howell Mill Road, NW, Atlanta 30381. You can visit the kitties any time the store is open, and an adoption volunteer will be available on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-3pm to answer your questions and facilitate the adoption process.

All household members, including current dog(s), are required to attend the adoption interview, and if you currently have pets in the household you must bring along a copy of their most current medical records with proof of vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and proof of spay/neuter.The Animal Services Division is managed by a non-profit organization whose programs strengthen the entire animal welfare community by promoting homeless pet adoption, providing affordable spay/neuter services, increasing public awareness, and advocating for lifesaving public policy. The animal services division provides humane care for the animals at the shelter, veterinary care including spay/neuters, pet adoptions, animal reclaims, volunteers, foster homes and rescue group coordination. Since taking over management of DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS) and Fulton County Animal Services in 2013, thousands of lives have been saved and adoptions have been increased by 300% at DCAS alone.
